Every portrait is hand drawn or painted by me. All charcoal portraits are completed on
Stonehenge cotton rag, PH neutral paper. Pastels are done on Art Spectrum Colourfix coated
pastel paper, and for watercolors I use Arches acid-free paper. All of these papers are
heavyweight and acid-free.
I generally work from life and my own photographs. Sometimes it is not possible (or necessary)
for me to take my own photos. It is important to remember when selecting reference material,
that I cannot include that which I cannot see. Therefore, the photograph must be as clear as
possible. In addition, if the photo you would like me to use is copyrighted, I will require the
permission of the photographer before I can use it.
